Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Racquetball and Culture in Albuquerque
Get ready, racquetball fans — a brand-new event is hitting the courts this spring! The First Annual ChilE Traditions Cinco de Mayo Racquetball Tournament is coming to Riverpoint Sports and Wellness in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from May 1–4, 2025. This event blends high-level competition with festive Cinco de Mayo spirit, promising an unforgettable weekend on and off the court.
Headlining the weekend is none other than Gearbox Pro and international star Andree Parilla. Known for his electrifying style and elite-level play, Parilla will not only be competing — he’s also leading exclusive clinics and private lessons throughout the event.
Prize Money, Pro Vibes, and Plenty of Matches
The tournament features prize money in all Open divisions, making it a must-play for serious competitors. Doubles divisions will offer:
- $500 for first place (per player)
- $250 for second place (per player)
And yes, the singles divisions will be just as competitive, with top-level players from across the region expected to enter.
In partnership with IRT and USAR, this tournament provides a chance to earn ranking points while celebrating the Cinco de Mayo weekend with friends, family, and the racquetball community.
Clinics and Lessons with Andree Parilla
Want to sharpen your skills with one of the game’s best? You can! Andree Parilla will host two clinics and offer limited private lessons:
Clinics – Just $40 per session:
- Advanced Players: Friday, May 2 from 6–7 PM
- Beginner/Intermediate Players: Saturday, May 3 from 9–10 AM

This event isn’t just for adults — junior divisions, including multibounce, will also be available. It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce younger players to the excitement of tournament play in a friendly, supportive setting.
